As with all grants awarded by the Foundation, the success of the work we fund is in the hands of committed people working in the Agencies responsible for carrying out the programs. Our communities are very fortunate to have a stellar group of dedicated people working for the 21 agencies and collaboratives providing parenting education throughout the four counties.

Three different research-based, nationally supported curricula are used by the agencies in conducting parenting education for the participants (parents and caregivers).  Two of these curricula are site based classes usually consisting of 8-12 sessions and 1-20 participants per class. The other curriculum is a home-visit program where the educators make home visits usually declining over a two-three year period from 3-4 per month to 1-2 per month until graduation.

The agencies, their annual goals for participants, the numbers of educators, planned classes and class locations all for the latest funded program year are shown in the table below. Some agencies offer parenting using both site based and home visit curricula.
